What: (Cancelled in 2024) This annual alfresco event has been a Vancouver festive fixture over the years. Arrive early to snag your favourite spot along West Georgia Street or Granville Street (make sure you wrap up in several extra layers to retain at least a modicum of warmth) and you'll be treated to a magical cavalcade of marching bands, glitter-dressed dancers, more than a few naughty-looking elves, some fast-trotting miniature horses and a free candy cane or two to munch on. After a couple of hours, the great man himself will roll by, looking like he's waving straight at you alone as he trundles past. Unfortunately, the 2024 parade has been cancelled.
