It's a Wonderful Life: On the Air
What (Information from 2024): The heartwarming holiday classic, It's a Wonderful Life, receives a sparkling and exciting stage reinvention from the city's brilliant United Players of Vancouver. Penned by Peter Church, the redemption-themed 1947 movie story of George Bailey, Clarence the guardian angel and, of course, Zuzu and her flower petals is retold as if it's being presented as a period radio broadcast––complete with evocative songs, station jingles and colourful adverts of the era. It's a great way to experience a much-loved festive favourite in a brand new way, at the same time as being transported to a nostalgic era of holiday seasons past.
